Dear Ayyah, Best Greetings! மையம் ( Maiyam) stands for center. (Laladum is nothing but the midpoint between our eyebrows).

Ayya, we all go through these three types of sufferings (Physical, Psycho and Spiritual) due to our unnecessary worldly desires only. Desires are nothing but our own Dirt/Malas. To get rid of our MannAsai( Physical dirt), we need to run-through Suddha Sanmarga Physical Discipline. No other way! Similarly, we need to put the Suddha Sanmarga’s Psycho and Spiritual Disciplines into practice in order to overcome our PennAsai ( Mental dirt) and the PonnAsai ( the dirt of our Jeeva/Spirit or the Tshulupthi-Suffering) respectively.

Hope you will gain a greater clarity about the subtle concepts briefed here, if you would watch my YouTube video presentation at ‘https://youtu.be/YEl93CEKHC8’. Thank you, and have a blessed weekend! ArutPerumJothi….

Dear Friends, Best Greetings!
Please know that the word 'அவஸ்தை/Avasthai' refers to 'the state of mind' only. The state of mind depends upon its functionality, and this functionalities vary very naturally depending upon it locus. So, always stay focused firmly on the Karana Ozhukkam (Mental Discipline) as suggested by Vallalar, by keeping your mind at the Mount of our Forehead, i.e. at the Sirsabai - the midpoint between our eyebrows. This helps us bring our mind under control naturally than by any other means. Please know that,
1. We are Neesan/Sinner, if our mind is moving around our sexual organs.
2. We are Nasan/Sicker, if our mind is moving around our stomach region.
3. We are Manusan/Social, if our mind is at our heart portion.
4. We are Eesan/Sithar, if we are able to keep our mind calmly and kindly at the Sirsabai forever.

We could naturally experience that all of our distresses depend upon our 'அவஸ்தை/Avasthai', i.e. the state of our mind only; and again, our mind's state depends upon its functions and its locus. And hence, there is no conflict in using the term suffering/கஷ்டம் to represent சாக்கிரம்/the state of Conscious mind, சொப்பனம்/the state of Sub-Conscious mind, and சுழுத்தி/the mental state of tranquility/peacefulness/quietude, in lieu of Avasthai/ அவஸ்தை.

On the other hand, we should also very clearly know that we must not use the term 'அவஸ்தை/Avasthai' with the very same meaning of 'Suffering/ கஷ்டம்', for the higher order states of our mind, like துரியம்/Thuriyam and துரியாதீதம்/Thuriyaatheetham. Since, துரியம்/Thuriyam and துரியாதீதம் /Thuriyaatheetham are not our sufferings/கஷ்டம், but they are our Joy/இன்பம் and Bliss/பேரின்பம் respectively.

So , let us know that our suffering or joy; they are nothing but the different degrees/states of our mind only.
