Lucy (2014) is a basic glammourished telling of what the writers and directors came up with using common information about immortality and its different stages.
The Drug in the film is just a strawman for the Elixr or pills of immortality etc. It also is the entire plot because hollywood writers cant really write anything complex.
The last scene where the male character gets a txt saying Lucy is now everywhere is so silly but its a very basic depiction of Gnana Deham.

A massive amount of Radiation is required to break down blood and bone.
A controled breakdown from a western science view impossible. The person would just turn to mush and slime.
Vallalaar figured out how to use the Biophotons emitting from his eyes to increase the output of natural radiation of his body. Somehow he caused a quantum effect on his biology.
