Thiru Velayutha Mudaliar of Thozhuvur, who was the head of Tamil Literature in the Presidency College, Chennai was the first disciple of Thiru Arutprakasa Vallalar. In memory of him, a small Mandapam type temple has been constructed within the Corporation Elementary School near Thiruvotriyur.

It is like a small temple.
There is one photo of Thozuvur Velayutha Mudaliar.
Thiru Arutprakasa Vallalar's photo
and one Arutperunjothi light.
It is within the premises of a Corporation Elementary School.
The school authorities are permitting any desired Sanmargis who
are willing to see the temple during the School hours.
This is next to the street where Srimath Ramalinga Madalayam
is located. through which Perumanar will go to Pattinathar Temple which is
located near the sea shore (பட்டினத்தார் சமாதி - மீனவர் குப்பம்)
You can very well see Thozuvuraar's small mandapam on any school working
days within the school time.
Out of anxiety, the Small Mandapam constructed for Thozhuvur Velayutha
Mudaliar was visited at Thiruvotriyur and the details furnished in the previous
message.
But you were requiring information whether it is the samadhi (tomb)
of Thozhuvur Velayutha Mudaliar.
That the information is not known. On seeing the Mandapam, it gives a
look of a temple alone and not like a tomb (samadhi).
Anyway, the viewers of this website who are residing at Thiruvotriyur,
Chennai area near that Temple may know it.
Thank you for the reply given and for the correction of the place as a temple and not a samadhi.
Sir in the book TAMIZH MANNIN THANDHAI written by GNANA BHARATHI, there name of certain siddhars who have followed the Vallalar. I have listed them as follows.
Kalpattu Ayya, Karanapattu Ayya, Konda Reddiyar, Pirayaru Nala Chakravarthi, Piraiyaru Chidambara Swamigal, Sivagiri Murugananda Swamigal, Vallanadu Chidambara Swamigal, Azhagan Kulam Chitramuthu Adigalar, Sembiyamnallur Govinda Sami, Vadukapatti Maha Suruli Swamigal, Puravipalayam Kodi Swamigal, Swamithope Muthukutti Swamigal, Subburaya Paradesi etc.......
Sri Muthukutti Swamigal was a fore runner of Vallalar. Vallalar was born in the year 1823 and Muthukutti Swamigal took the heavenly abode in 1851. So there is a gap of 27 to 28 years and so far no one has written on the meeting of the two siddhars, but there is a similarity in both on certain areas.
Puravipalayam Kodi Swamigal (lived upto 400 or 600 years according to many) but whether he had contact with Vallalar or was his follower ------ there is no idea.
Same way Vadukapatti Maha Suruli Swamigal was born 800 yrs back but took samadhi somewhere in 1936 it seems. But there is no information on him like what I had written for Kodi Swamigal.
Kindly throw some light on this...........
Given below are some siddhars who have taken samadhi in vadalur:
Sri Subburaya Paradesi Swamigal Jeeva Samadhi Alayam Location: Muruga temple, Kurinjipadi, (Near virudhachalam). Is he the same Subburaya Paradesi who came after Kalpattu Ayya or a different person.
Sri Kola Swamigal (disciple of vallalar) Jeeva Samadhi Alayam Location: Kola Swami temple, Kurinjipadi (Near Virudhachalam). I got an information that he was Vallalar's contemporary and was his disciple too. But there is no information with me to validate this.
Sri Jothilinga Swamigal Samadhi Alayam Location: The Samadhi is in Vadalur. I read about this too but is he related to Vallalar dont know.
Same way could you tell me about this siddhar too: Sri La Sri Rama Swamigal alais Sri Ramaswami Siddhar Jeeva Samadhi Alayam Location: Vallalar nagar. Address: Sarva Siddhi Gnana Suriyan Tirusabai, Vallalar nagar Merupuram, Vadalur Cuddalore dist.
Sir apart from this are there any siddhars who were disciples of Vallalar and lived a life of a siddhar and took jeeva samadhi or mahasamadhi, if so please give me the names of those siddhars.
Sir everywhere there is false in the name of Vallalar but Vallalar is true coz he is ARUTPERUMJOTHI with THANIPERUM KARUNAI

I stay in Nanganallur, Chennai. I had met a doctor by the name of arul prakash who was a sanmargi. this meeting took some 8 years back I think. At that time he did show me the powder of manjal (yellow) karisalankani leaf. The tast was slightly salty. I just want to know that is the taste of this leaf powder salty or is there some recipe to be added in this.
I s there any vallalar sangams in nanganallur or and nearby places in chennai where I can get this powder prepared traditionally according to vallalars guidance. In case even I get the recipe of how to prepare this too will do.
Thanking you
