DESTINY─ KARMA-III-Can we change it?

“The human liberation restricts the soul from the almighty which are namely, lust, luxury and a life ─ self liberation. Those who surrender the same to the almighty would not feel that they are suffering from the destiny or karma”.

It’s sure the time will come and you will be led in to the state, where no action and reaction. Everyone is He and everything is Him that is the state of everlasting delight and ever running bliss.

DESTINYKARMA-III

Can we change it?

Vallalar informs to the human community that the sincere prayer (Surrender) towards the Arutperum Jodhi –Supreme Grace Light would mitigate the Sin and Karma. The following Agaval and Arutpa says it as,

7.

As the holy Arutpa amply demonstrates that the karma can be easily driven away, those who have curbed through Karma-fate should sincerely pray the almighty in the form of light and should chant the verse –Ninainthu, Ninainthu –நினைந்து நினைந்து..,

This will slowly unveil the illusion and mitigate the repercussion of karma- Destiny.

As the destiny is more powerful than our human efforts, Vallalar rightly points out that all the human beings should follow the four disciplines namely Indiria Olukkam, Karana Olukkam, Jeeva Olukkam, and Anma Olukkam.

He also informs to the human community that how he has attained all the occult skill –divine skill. He points out that the human liberations desists the soul from the almighty which are namely, lust, luxury and a life (self liberation). Those who surrender the same to the almighty would not feel that they are suffering from the destiny or karma.

That is why in his great sermon (பேருபதேசம்) on 22-10-1873, he asks all the people to go for self-Inquiry- Introspection, which will slowly unveil all the illusions and show the truth.

To the same, He invites all the people towards sanmarga as;

What he needs from us is the true faith and compassion. One should not think that within a very few days or hours one can change the destiny. He may make you happen in a second, minute, day, and so on… according to one’s level of his/her faith, surrender -oneness . Then it’s sure the time will come and you will be led in to the state, where no action and reaction. Everyone is He and everything is Him that is the state of everlasting delight and ever running bliss; for the same the blessedness, be showered upon us like

Manivasagar says;

By his grace alone, bowing before his feet..

Vallalar says that he got the “Divine Wisdom” within a very few hours from the almighty as he has followed the divine union of all souls’ (ஆன்ம நேய ஒருமைப்பாடு).

Hence, one should sincerely pray the Vallalar as he had a boom from the almighty –to save all the living beings through his divine skills namely Creation, Preservation, Expiation, Ripeness and Interpretation.

If one required him (whenever and wherever)-through true penance-compassion, he would come and change the Karma-Destiny.

Sri R.K. Kumaresan has beautiifully described the Karma theory. He has quoted the relevant songs from Thiru Arutpa, the songs of Vallalar which are powerful enough to drive out the ill effects of Karma.
The word Karma denotes action, duty etc. Here, the term is used in relation to deeds (vinai) which one has performed in one birth and the conseqauences of such deeds he is supposed to bear either in the same birth or next birth. According to physics, when a force is exerted it is balanced by an equal and opposite reaction. Similarly, in the spiritual arena also, a person who does a particular act is called upon to face the result of it in accordance with the nature of the act. Karma is an impersonal effect which balances every act of the individual. It is not a kind of punishment or reward as is generally believed. It is a natural phenomenon that every one faces depending upon his action (Karma). Brihadaranyaka Upanishad says: “The self identified with mind generates desires. What the mind desires, it resolves upon; what it resolves upon it performs and what it performs it attains.” It faces the consequences of its performance in a future birth. The Karmas, the result or reaction to the past actions, decisively play on the destiny of the individual. When Alagammal, the mother of Ramana Maharshi came to Tiruvannamalai pleading her son to come back, Maharshi wrote in a piece of paper thus: “The Ordainer controls the fate of souls in accordance with their Prarabda Karma. Whatever is destined not to happen will not happen, try as you may. Whatever is destined to happen will happen, do what you may to prevent it. This is certain. The best course therefore is to remain silent.”
When death occurs, the soul which is free from Karma (past action) ascends to heaven and attains union with Paramathma. The body disintegrates and whatever remains of it go to the earth. The soul tained by past karmas gets rebirth.
While emphasising the importance of fire, Bhagawad Gita (Chapter 4) says that the fire not only turns the body into ashes but it also turns all karmas into ashes: “Vayur Anilam Amritam, Athedam Bhasmantam Sariram, Om Krato Smara Kritam Smara Krato Smara Krita Smara”. This implies that the best course of disposal of the body is to consign it into fire.
In reply to a question by a devotee, Sri Ramana Maharshi said that even if one has detached himself from worldly desires and acquired Jnana, the result of his earlier Karmas would continue to haunt him. Karma means the cause and effect theory. As you sow, so you reap. It is a natural law which is administered by the nature itself and no one can escape from it. The basis of every act is desire and desire is borne out of mind. It is only by rooting out desire completely from the mind, one can liberate himself from the effects of Karma.
There is another way of eliminating Karma which is by way of getting the grace of Muruga. I give below the lines from Thiru Murugatru Padai: “All karmas (Vinai), of past and future, would disappear the moment I utter the name of Kandha. He who applies the sacred ash of Vibhuti in his fore-head and he who worships the savior at Thiruchendur need have no fears about Karmas (Vinai). (Vandha Vinayum, Varukindra Val Vinayum Kandhanenru Solla kalangume).
Arunagirinathar says: "What can the ill effects of Karma do to me so long I have the grace of Kumaresan with me"?. (Naal en seyum, vinai than en seyum, enai nadi vantha kol en seyum, kodum kootru en seyum, kumaresan iru thaalum, silambum, sadhangayum....). The pun is ofcourse intended.
