The monthly Poosam Day function was celebrated at Vadakkadi Veedhi within the campus of Arulmigu Meenakshi Amman Temple, Madurai.

Thiru Paramasivam of Avaniapuram and Pitchaiah, of Madurai City, the members of the Association chanted Arutperunjothi Agaval.

Initially Thiru Sankaranandam, Secretary of the Association welcomed the participants.

Thiru Sengayiram of Panaiyur village in Madurai Taluki, the Special invitee spoke about the principles of Vallalar. He also cited hymns from

Thevaram, Thiruvasagam, Thirumandhiram and Thiru Arutpa. He explained about the similarity between the life of Vallalar and himself.

He explained that Vallalar insisted only to follow the principles of soulful Compassion towards all living beings to realise God within us.

The Managing Trustee, VallalarOrg Foundation, Narayanapuram, Madurai.14 gave vote of thanks. He also informed the participants

about the Music progamme at Chennai from 23.12.2009 to 25.12.2009 and requested to participate in the function.

Also he explained about the proposed stall to be put up at the Book Fair at Poonamallee High Road, Chennai exclusively for the sale of

Thiru Arutpa related Books and Thiru Arutpa audio C.Ds.at the Book Fair, Chennai which commences on 30.12.2009 and requested

the willing members to attend the Book Fair to look after the sale of Books & C.Ds.

The meeting came to a close by 8.35 p.m.

Arutprasadam was distributed to all the participants as well as to the devotees of Iyappa who came at the last moment.
