Dindigul Dt. Keeranur Town Panchayat 100 years old Mosque. Mohammedans granted lands for Kulapathi Kuppusamy ayya for constructing Sanmarga Gurukulam.

On 6.6.2009 and 7.6.2009, the special invitees came for attending the meeting arranged at Sanmarga Gurukulam, Keeranur, Palani Taluk.

At the entrance to the Keeranur village (i.e. on the western side), Sanmarga Gurukulam is located. At the centre of the village, an old Mosque is seen. It is constructed long back. Its age is above 100 years. The architecture and structures of the Mosque are attracting the viewers.

When enquired, the persons engaged for constructing the Nayakkar Mahal etc. Buildings at Madurai were engaged for constructing this beautiful Mosque. It celebrated the 75th anniversary during 2000. The Granite stones were used for construction.

When Kulapathi Kuppusamy, the founder of the Sanmarga Gurukulam started a small Home for the destitute children 50 years ago, one Thiru C.A.V. Abdul Wahab, a Philanthraphist donated his own lands for developing the Home for the destitute Children. Thiru Kulapathi Kuppusamy ayya admitted this fact at his speech on 6.6.2009 and thanked the Mohammaden community. From this, he said that religion is not a bar for soulful compassion.

There is cordial relationship between all the community people living here .. in Keeranur village.
