Thiru G.Athmanathan, Founder, Sangeeth Sagar Cultural Trust (Regd) Chennai who is very much interested in Thiru Arutpa Songs is conducting Thiru Arutpa Music Function at various places all over Tamil Nadu. He also produced audio C.Ds. containing Thiru Arutpa Songs (Pattuvithal Padugindren) during 2008. He has composed many songs in 4 other languages also.
At Chennai
He conducted 4 Music Functions, the last one was conducted at North Usman Road, Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar Marriage Hall from 16.12.2008 to 18.12.2008.
At various places.
For the past 8 years, he is onducting the Thiru Arutpa Music function at various places. Last year he has done it at Dindigul. This year, he wanted to do the Music function at Madurai.
Thiru T.R. Jawaharlal, the District President, Federation of the Sanmarga Associations, Madurai and Thiru A.Ramanujam, Managing Trustee, VallalarOrg Foundation, Narayanapuram, Madurai invited him to do the Music Function at Madurai.
A main place was selected for conducting the Music function. The name of the place selected was Sriman Natana Gopala Nayagi Mandir, Teppakulam (West), Madurai.
Thiru Athmanathan, the Music Director with his party consisting various singers and dancers numbering about 25 arrived Madurai on 8.5.2009. The party was received by Thiru T.R.Jawaharlal, District President of Madurai District Sanmarga Associations and by the Managing Trustee, Thiru A.Ramanujam, Vallalar Org Foundation, Madurai and. Thiru Vijayaraman, Madurai.
Wide publicity about this programme was given through daily news papers. The programme was published in Dinamalar Daily news paper on 9.5.2009. All District Sanmarga Associations were invited for the function.
On 9.5.2009, as programmed, the Arutperunjothi Agaval chanting started by about 6.30 a.m. The following Senior Sanmargis started the chanting

By about 9.10 a.m. Thiru Vairamalai Antonysamy started the introductory speech.
The following singers sung Thiru Arutpa songs melodiously.
About 9.20 a.m. Thiru B.N. Nagarajan, (aged about 65) who studied music from Thiru T.M. Soundararajan, sung Thiru Arutpa Songs.
By about 10.25 a.m. Thiru A. Annapurani of Pondicherry
By 11.15 a.m. Master Chiran, Chennai.
He said that he is studying 3rd Std and don’t know Tamil. But he studied music through Thirubuvanam G.Athmanathan and now singing Thiru Arutpa Songs, here at this Mandir. Being a very young boy, he sung Thiru Arutpa Songs in a fine tune. Many of the viewers praised him.
11.25 a.m. –Thirubuvanam G. Athmanathan sung Thiru Arutpa Songs upto 12.15 p.m.
It was appreciated by all.
Dr. Thiru Sivaraman, formerly Dean, Medical College, Tanjore and now the Secretary,Vallalar International Sanmarga Sangam delivered a speech about the necessity to follow the principles of Vallalar. He has quoted many songs from Thiru Arutpa, Thiru mandiram and Thirukkural.
After the lunch, the evening session started at about 2.15 p.m.
Thiru Margabandu, Chennai sung Thiru Arutpa songs upto 2.40 p.m.
Then Thiru Sathiyaseelan from Chennai sung Thiru Arutpa Songs upto 3.15 p.m.
After that Madurai people also sung Thiru Arutpa Songs from 3.15. p.m.

After that at about 3.55 p.m. Thiru P.K. Gunasekaran, Senior Official in the Registration Department, Chennai delivered speech about Vallalar and the necessity to follow the principles of Suddha Sanmargam by one and all.
At about 5.05 p.m Thiru Gnanamani Rajapriyar, a senior musician aged about 85 sung Thiru Arutpa songs. The classical songs sung by him were very much appreciated by the audience.
With this, the Music Programme was over.
At about 6.45 p.m, the programme about release of Thiru Arutpa C.D. started.
Thiru Athmanathan, gave introductory speech and welcomed all.
Thiru K.S. Subburaman, President, Vallalar International Sanmarga Association, Chennai gave speech about the functions of the Association and its aims. He invited all the participants to enroll more and more members under this Association.
After that a new C.D. with the heading “MANUMURAI KANDA VASAGAM” was released by Thiru S.Sankaravadivel, I.R.S. (Retd) and it was received by Thiru T.R. Jawaharlal, the Preasident of Madurai District Federation of Sanmarga Associations.
Thiru T.R. Sankaravadivel, I.R.S. (Retd) then delivered a speech.
He said that Vallalar and Muthuramalinga Thevar are the Saints deputed to convey the message of the God and all should follow the principles taught by them.

She also requested all the audience to follow the principles of Vallalar to get a good life.
Thiru Meda Nithiyanandam, Vasavi Jewellery,Dindigul and the Secretary, District Sanmarga Association, Dindigul.
He insisted all the participants to unite under one umbrella and spread the principles of Vallalar.
Then Thiru T.R. Jawaharlal, District President of Madurai District Sanmarga Associations Federation, Thiru P.K. Gunasekaran, Senior Officer in the Registration Officer, Chennai spoke about the services rendered by Thiru G. Athmanathan in spreading the Thiru Arutpa Songs.

He narrated the services of Thirubuvanam G. Athmanathan, in spreading the principles of Vallalar through Thiru Arutpa Songs. He invited all the southern District Sanmarga Associations to make use the services of Thirubuvanam G.Athmanathan in spreading the Thiru Arutpa as well the principles of Vallalar.
He insisted all the participants to purchase the cheap editions of Suddha Sanmargam related books and Thiru Arutpa audio C.Ds. that are made available at the function spot.
He thanked Thirubuvanam G.Athmanathan in bringing various singers just to sing only Thiru Arutpa Songs to Madurai, where such type of Thiru Arutpa Music Function is conducted as the first time. He thanked all the musicians, the dancing group, the Office Bearers of Vallalar International Sanmarga Association, the V.I.Ps, the audience and the Trustee of the Mandir for sparing the Hall for conducting the music function. He also thanked the archestra group viz., Mrudhangam, Morsing, Dhabla, Violin etc., etc.,
After that Thiru Arutpa related Dance programme was conducted by the students of Jeya Sathveega Nattiyalaya group. It is called Thiru Arutpa Navarathna Keerthanaigal:.
Tmt. Padma, B.A., Kalaimani, Nattiya Kala Saraswathi , Chennai trained the group of about 10 students to dance the Thiru Arutpa related songs. It was very much appreciated by all the participants.
After that the function came to a close by about 9.15 p.m.
Nearly 300 Sanmargis participated the above music function. All of them appreciated the efforts taken by the District Sanmarga Association Federation, Madurai and also the Managing Trustee, VallalarOrg Foundation, Madurai to spread the principles of Suddha Sanmargam through Thiru Arutpa Songs at Madurai.
All the music group came from Chennai also very much pleased with the reception, accommodation and other facilities extended to them.
