There was an yearly function at Thenkarai village, near Vikramangalam village at the Veemalingeswarar temple, on 7.3.2009 and 8.3.2009

It was a regular yearly function arranged by one Thiru Chockalingam of Madurai and his 4 other brothers. This year the function is celebrated as the 45th year function.

The Managing Trustee, VallalarOrg foundation, Madurai and Arul trust, Madurai requested the members who assembled at the Veemalingeswarar temple to come along with them to the nearby village named E.Koilpatti for street by street spreading of the teaching of Vallalar. Many of the members accompanied the Trust Members.

E.Koilpatti village is situated just 5 kilometres from Thenkarai where the function was going on.

The teaching of Vallalar was spread to all the villagers street by street and at the conspiciuos places, Bazaar, Bus stand and other places of E.Koilpatti village. The students from Chettiapatti near Usilampatti, under the leadership of one Tmt. Ammakkannu ammal, were engaged for distributing the pamphlets to all the houses. Thiru Chandra Mohan of Oomachikulam engaged his car for transporting the students as well as aspirant sanmargis from Thenkarai(v) to this E.Koilpatti village. Thiru Balamurugan from Thiruvannamalai Babu saadhu group also engaged himself in transporting the students as well the sanmargis to the nearby village, E.Koilpatti.

At this procession, the students took with them the flex banners containing the principles of Vallalar. Most of the villagers belonged to Piramalai Kallar community. All the villagers patiently heard the speech.

Small book containing the life history of Vallalar spared by Thiru Babu Saadhu of Thiruvannamalai with the small pamphlets containing the preaching of Vallalar was distributed to all the houses and also to the participants who assembled there to hear the preaching of Vallalar.
