It is in Ponneri Taluk, Thiruvallur District, north of Chennai.

Tmt. Chinnammaiyar, mother of Thiru Arutprakasa Vallalar was born in this village.

In rememberance of it, a small building was constructed in this village. It is on

the road side and named as "Chinnammaiyar Illam"

wherein the Arutperunjothi Light is burning and Thiru Arutpa chanting is going

on all the auspicious days and on Thursdays (Guru Vaaram).

Recently, on 8.6.2008 an Administrative set up has been formed for maintaining the building

and its surroundings and for spreading the principles of Suddha Sanmargam in

that area.
