With the help of SpaceTeam, we have come up with a naming standards for all of our mp3 songs. All the available songs and the future songs on www.vallalar.org website will be adhearing the following format. We are encouraging any new audio producers to follow the below naming conventions. Please share your ideas as well here.

SpaceTeam is making a new version of lyrics display program for the mp3 players(media player, and winamp versions), so you will see ThiruArutpa lyrics while listening mp3 songs on the player. So in order to get this to work, SpaceTeam is adviced to follow the below standard for our recordings. Hence, we are sharing with rest of the audio producers. Also we are making CD with the following standard too.

For the Website download

Song-Title => [serial number] [ lyrics id ] [descr] [version] name of the song

where ,

· lyrics id = [ [thirumuraiChapNo], [songNo/fromsongNo-ToSongNo] ]

o [thirumurai ChapNo ] and [songNo] as per Uran Adigal Book

· [descr] can be anything, typically Arutpa Song first line

· [version] will A-Z

· No space between words but hypen character can be used

Song-File Name => [ lyrics id ] [descr] [version] name of the song

For example :-

[6-057, 4090, A]–Arul _Vilake

[6-057, 4090, B] – Arul_Vilake

[6-057, 4141-4142] – Moorththikalum nedungkalam

[6-076, 4501-4503] – ithu nalla tharunam

Note :

· full song will have title as the chapter name, otherwise song starting line.

· [descr] all the white spaces will be filled with underscore char.

· No space between words but hypen character can be used

For the CD production

Title : [serial number] [ lyrics id ] [descr] [version] name of the song where

· serial number is a running number to maintain the song order of listening in the CD

· lyrics id = [ [thirumuraiChapNo], [songNo/fromsongNo-ToSongNo] ]

o [thirumurai ChapNo ] and [songNo] as per Uran Adigal Book

· [descr] can be anything, typically Arutpa Song first line

· [version] will A-Z
