Madurai Arutpa Ranganathan's son Thiru Vivekanandan got gallantary award from the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu

Thiru Renganathan, who worked in the Railway Department is a devotee of the principles of St. Ramalingam. He is well known for chanting Thiru Arutpa in and around Madurai. His son Thiru Vivekanandan, who got employment at Ernakulam last year, saved the life of one School Boy named Pravin on the day of his joining duty at Ernakulam Railway Station.

At about 12.00 Noon, the some boys who left the School after F.N.studies about to cross the Railway line (track). Without knowing the fact that the Train is about to run, they were talking and about to cross the Railway track. Even though the Thiru Vivekanandan son of Arutpa Ranganathan who was on duty at the Railway gate shouted about the train's arrival, the boys crossed the track. At that time, the bicycle of One Student named Pravin was thrown away and the student fell inside the train track. Thiru Vivekanandan immediately rushed to save the boy. He also fell on the train track. At that time, the train crossed.

The left hand of the son of Arutpa Ranganathan got a crack. All the people nearby at the time of this incident thought, both of them died. But after the train crossed the level crossing, both the Boy and the son of Arutpa Ranganathan were safe except the left hand cracked.

Already, Thiru Vivekanandan was awarded a prize by the former Hon'ble Minister for Railways Mamta Banerjee. This news was already published in this website some months ago.

The Govt.of Tamil Nadu honoured the above individual and awarded in cash and by Certificate at the time of the Republic Day on 26.1.2011 at Chennai. The cash and certificate for his meritorious service was awarded by the then Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
