Thiru Arutpa 5th year Music Programme and Dance Programme conducted at T.Nagar, Chennai.

Sangeeth Sagar Cultural Trust conducted Thiru Arutpa Music and Dance programme at Chennai on 23.12.2009.

Thiru Athmanathan, Music Director is conducting Thiru Arutpa Music Progrmme every year at Chennai. This is the fifth year of such programme organised by him.

The programme started at about 4.45 p.m.

Thiru Margabandhu, is a Music Student of Thirubuvanam Athmanathan.

He is conducting Thiru Arutpa Music progammes at Vadalur also. He trained his students and they sung Thiru Arutpa Songs initially.

The following persons who were trained by Thiru Margabandhu, took part in this programme.

4. Sa. Gowri.

5. J. Deepika.

6. Ku. Swathi.

7. Mu. Ka. Kalaiyarasi.

8. Shalini.

9. R. Sridevi.

10. S.Dhulasi.

After that Thiru Athmanathan, Thirubuvanam sung Thiru Arutpa songs.

At about 6.40 p.m. Master Chiran, One of the Music Student studying in 3rd Standard sung Thiru Arutpa.

A C.D. containing the Thiru Arutpas, the music composed by Thirubuvanam Athmanathan was released.

Thiru Subburaman, President of Vallalar Pannattu Sangam, T.Nagar, Chennai released the above audio C.D. and it was received by Thiru R. Srinivasan, S/O (Late) P.Radhakrishnan, Managing Director, Hotel Radha Regent, Chennai.

During his speech Thirubuvanam Athmanathan told that he was awarded Senior Fellowship by the Govt.of India. He is one among the 70 persons who were awarded Senior Fellowship. He also told that he sent this C.D. containing Thiru Arutpa songs with Standardardised Ragaas and Thalas.

Thiru S. Sankaravadivel, I.R.S. (Rtd) gave a speech about the principles of Vallalar. He praised the efforts taken by Thirubuvanam Athmanathan in conducting successfully the 5th year function, this time. He also insisted the participants to encourage the efforts taken by Thirubuvanam Athmanathan in the succeeding years also.

Thiru R.Srinivasan, Managing Director, Hotel Radha Regent, Chennai..during his speech..said that he is following the pathway..as shown by his father (Late) Thiru P.Radhakrishnan.He elaborated the involvement of his father in Thiruppavai...Thiru Arutpa...and the activities at Vadalur for the past 20 years in feeding all the sanmargis coming over there for Thai Poosam. He also appreciated the efforts taken by Thirubuvanam Athmanathan in celebrating every year..this kind of programme especially for Thiru Arutpa Songs.

Merit Certificate was distributed to all the students of Thiru Margabandhu.

Thiru A.K. Palanivel, President, Music College, Annamalai University,Chennai about the earnest and sincere efforts that are taken by Thirubuvanam Athmanathan and very much appreciated him and encouraged him.

Guha Shree Tmt. A.Annapurani gave vote of thanks.

Afterwards the Thiru Arutpa Dance programme was conducted under the leadership of Kalaima Mani..Sangeeth Nadaga Academy Awardee..Natiya Acharya..Tmt. Indira Rajan along.with her 4 students. It was wonderful and all the participants appreciated the efforts taken by her.

At about 9.15, the programme came to an end and necessary food was supplied to all by the Managing Director, Hotel Radha Regent, Chennai..Thiru R.Srinivasan.
