187th Birth Day of Thiru Arutprakasa Vallalar-Madurai City-Procession in Main Streets.
On 3.10.09 Saturday by about 4.30 p.m., the Federation of the Madurai District Sanmarga Associations took out a procession. It went through the main streets of Madurai. The flex banner of Thiru Arutprakasa Vallalar was taken throughout the streets of Madurai City.
Thiru T.R. Jawaharlal, President of the Dist.Sanmarga Sangam and Thiru Subramaniam, Secretary along with the Senior Sanmarga members assembled at a point where north masi st-and west masi st.and meet.
Slogans, Arutperunjothi maha mantra was chanted. Before commencing the procession, Senior Sanmargis like Thiru Hari Govindan and Thiru T.R. Jawaharlal gave an interview to the local T.V. channel. They explained to the press people the necessity to learn the Suddha Sanmarga principles preached by Vallalar. Just to impress the public about the principles of Vallalar, this procession is being taken throughout the main streets of Madurai City, they explained to the Press people.
Thiru A.Ramanujam, Managing Trustee, VallalarOrg Foundation, Madurai explained to the public the life history of Vallalar. He insisted the public to stop killing of animals and eating non vegetarian food.
He further explained to the public the deathlessness attained by Saint Ramalingam. and it is possible, if every one follow the principles of Suddha Sanmargam in their walk of life.
Just to impress this point only, this procession is taken, he said.
Sanmarga devotees from various Districts and Madurai District participated in the procession. A small booklet containing the history of Vallalar and the suddha Sanmarga principles preached by him along with some Thiru Arutpa poems were distributed among the public.
All the common public who received the above communications interestingly read the Booklet and the pamphlet.
At about 6.30 p.m, the procession reached Obula Padithurai near Munichalai (Vaigai River). After that the discourse about the Suddha Sanmarga principles delivered by many senior Sanmarga Anbargal.
Thiru T.R. Jawaharlal thanked every one who participated the procession. He also thanked Thiru Sasitharan, and his parents for sparing the Trust building to conduct the District Sanmarga Meetings continuously.
Finally, poor feeding was done.
