Madurai District-Celebrating Vallalar's Birth Day-

Preliminary Meeting conducted.

On 29.8.2009 - Saturday at about 6.00 p.m, Senior Sanmarga

Anbargal under the leadership of Thiru T.R. Jawaharlar, District President,

District Sanmarga Sangam, Madurai assembled at the Vallalar Org Foundation, Narayanapuram,

Madurai.14

They discussed about celebrating the Vallalar's Birth Day Function

on 5.10.2009 or the dates convenient prior to on or after that date.

At the outset all the members were explained to offer their suggestions about conducting
the Birth Day function of Thiru Arutprakasa Vallalar. in a grand manner at Madurai.

After detailed discussion, the following decisions have been taken during the meeting.

Among the school Students.

1. To announce the essay competition about Vallalar among the School Students above 9th Std to 12 th Std.,in the daily newspaper inviting applications.

2. Selected students will be awarded First Second & Third Prizers.
All the participants will be awarded consolation price.

Procession at Madurai City.

3. To conduct a procession from Obula Padithurai (ஓபுளா படித்துரை-) to go round the main streets (Centering Meenakshi Amman Temple) and creating awareness among the common public about the principles of Vallalar.

Celebrating the Vallalar's Birth Day at individual Sanmarga Sangam.

4.Those who want to conduct function about Vallalar's birth day may arrange in their own areas.

In addition to the locality people and Sanmargis,wherever it is conducted, a team consisting of 20 Senior Sanmarga members will participate in those functions.

The Sanmarga Sangams opted for conducting Vallalar's Birth Day at their place.

All have agreed to the above and the meeting came to an end by about 9.15 p.m.
